IIT JAM is like a hidden treasure for BSc students. Very few students know about it and even fewer can hunt this down but those to get it are the most fortunate.

Have you ever wondered what are IIT JAM equivalent exams in other countries such as China, USA, UK, Australia etc.If you want to study abroad then this article is a go-to resource for MS/MSc aspirants.

Firstly, there are some myth busters about master’s in science and entrance exams:

1.       In most of the countries, it is called M.S. rather than M.Sc. and there is difference between these two degrees.

2.       Also, there are some mandatory tests to study in English Speaking countries such as TOEFL, GRE. We’ll explain these further.

3.       M.S. or M.Sc. is for research beasts. The best available option after completion of master’s is “PhD”. So, if you want job immediately after master’s then MBA or some other option would be a better choice.


China:

The post graduate entrance exam is known as NPEE (National Postgraduate Entrance Examination).
It is conducted in two phases – Preliminary and Re-examination.

It is a held annually for college undergraduates to entrance the higher education institutions in People's Republic of China. NPEE is usually taken by students during their last year of universities. Also, student with bachelor's degree and age below 40 can participate in NPEE.

US & Other Countries:

GRE is the world’s largest assessment program for graduate admissions. Although GRE scores are accepted at thousands of graduate programs around the world, USA is one of the hottest destinations for abroad studies after GRE.

GST on IIT JEE Advanced Fee - Increased Burden!



The JEE Advanced 2018 Notice came as a shock to all candidates and coaching institutes.
GST has taken toll on the fate of millions of JEE aspirants. In the revised exam fee structure, the GST tax is levied on the fees. This increased the overall amount that a candidate need to pay.

Until the last year the exam was free from any tax regime. This year the exam has come under tax regime of unknown slab. The students appearing in the exam are already paying a good fortune for the preparation, this added weight will only worsen the condition for lower economical class students.
